Dell: Windows refund yes, Windows refund policy no
Posted by: akosmin on Thursday, November 09, 2006 - 01:33 PM
Don Marti, one of the original motivators behind the refund initiative, reports on a recent success over in the UK. I'd like to add that while I'm glad to hear a refund was issued, Don has done a great job by digging deeper and discussing Dell's lack of an official policy that empowers end users to seek refunds for unwanted 3rd party (e.g. Microsoft Windows) products that come tied to the sale of hardware products. The lack of formal policy has been, and still continues to be, the real problem here.
